Mail Station

Join the email revolution without buying a computer

The MailStation gives you internet-based email even if you don't have a personal computer. My siblings and I tried to convince my mother that email would be the solution to staying in touch with all of us. We are spread out from California to New York and we count on our weekly emails to communicate. As wonderful as my mother thinks that is, she resisted our attempts to get her connected online. To mom, email meant computer and computer meant technology that was too complicated.

Email for anyone. The MailStation changed her mind in a hurry. Now mom emails with the best of us and she doesn't even have to touch a computer. All she has is a standard phone line. Mom's two pound portable MailStation sends and receives email to and from any Internet email address. That means we all stay in touch and are saving a ton on our long distance bills.

Simple to use. Even we were surprised at how quickly Mom took to this new communications tool. It arrived fully configured with CIDCO ISP services--all she had to do was plug it in. The simple, intuitive screens guided her through sending and receiving email and accessing new messages. She's even using the built-in spell check, address book, calendar and calculator. The full-size keyboard and the large, easy-to-read graphical display make sending and receiving email easier than using a PC--and a lot less expensive, too. There's even a New Message Waiting Light so mom knows when she's "got mail".

Great for business. My brother, who is in business for himself, has two computers and a laptop. After seeing Mom's MailStation, he went out and got one of his own. After all, there are times when he doesn't need a computer--but he does need email. Now when he’s on the road, he can just bring along his MailStation, and his messages are as close as the nearest phone jack.
